On April 3, Disney Plus will debut two new nature documentaries for your self-quarantine needs. One is called Elephant, which will follow a family of pachyderms across the Kalahari Desert in Botswana and should be as riveting as these docs get, given Disney’s ability to fund some truly spectacular nature footage. But maybe the biggest get of this project is the voiceover narration, which will be supplied by none other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. This will be Meghan Markle’s first official project after she and her husband Prince Harry step away from the royal family at the end of the month.
On the same day, Disney Plus will debut Dolphin Reef, which will be narrated by Natalie Portman — so plenty of star power to go around here. The announcement was made via a trailer for both movies, which was released Thursday.
After living like literal royalty for the last few years, Markle is reportedly eager to get back to work as an actor and is fielding several super secret offers from Hollywood. This voiceover work for Disney is the first such role but certainly won’t be the last.
