Michael Keaton Navigates the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fiasco in the Trailer for ‘Worth’

There’s going to be a lot of 9/11 stuff in the coming weeks as we prepare for the 20-year anniversary, so kudos to Netflix for finding a fresh but substantive angle on the tragedy. Worth is the true story of Ken Feinberg (Michael Keaton), the lawyer tasked with compensating the families of the 9/11 victims. Initially, the U.S. government concocted a straightforward formula for determining who got how much, but the deeper Feinberg dove into the real stories of the men, women and children who died in the attacks, the less his formula made sense.

The trailer gives off some Spotlight vibes, and not just because of Keaton’s involvement, and illustrates the impact of 9/11 by taking place largely after the fact. Sara Colangelo handled directing duties and Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan and Tate Donovan are all here, too. The movie will land on Netflix on September 3.
