Six years after the release of I Can Only Imagine, the cast is coming back together for a sequel, along with “This Is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia.
I Can Only Imagine 2 will continue the true story of Bart Millard (John Michael Finley), the founding member of contemporary Christian music band, MercyMe. Ventimiglia joins the cast in a new role as singer/songwriter Tim Timmons. Meanwhile, Dennis Quaid will return as Bart’s father, Arthur, and Trace Adkins will return as Scott Brickell, MercyMe’s manager.
The original film led to the founding of Kingdom Story Company, a production studio that has gone on to create faith-based films like Jesus Revolution and Unsung Hero.
