Jesus still knows how to draw a crowd.
The first two episodes of The Chosen season 5, released as Last Supper – Part 1, pulled in an estimated $11.5 million over the weekend, landing at No. 3 at the domestic box office. That’s behind A Working Man ($15.2 million) and the second weekend of Snow White ($14.2 million), which is a major win for a series that began as a crowdfunded passion project.
It’s the best theatrical debut for The Chosen so far, topping the $8.8 million opening for Season 3’s two-episode release back in 2022. With each season, the show’s theatrical footprint has grown, and this latest release proves there’s still plenty of momentum behind it.
Part 2, which combines episodes 3, 4 and 5, releases in theaters Friday, April 4.
