Our first look at Tom Hanks’ performance as the unfettered sunbeam of love and kindness that was Fred Rogers is here, and it looks like everything you could want from a movie like A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. The movie, directed by Marielle Heller, tells the true story of an Esquire journalist (played here by The Americans’ Matthew Rhys) who profiled Rogers and found himself changed by a new friend along the way. It’ll be in theaters on Thanksgiving, which can’t come soon enough.
