Last night, Mumford & Sons appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and performed a stirring, stripped down version of their song “Beloved” from their latest album Delta.
As the show notes on YouTube, the band transformed the “Ed Sullivan Theater into an in-the-round experience” for the special appearance.
The song, about the death of a grandparent, is one of the more tender moments on the album and makes for a memorable live performance.
