10 Songs That Should Be on Your Fall Rotation

Don’t think too small for fall. Autumn obviously conjures of images of dying leaves and log cabins, For Emma, Forever Ago and Folklore, and we’ve got nothing against those vibes. But the fall vibe has room for toe-tapping rock, introspective indie pop and groovy R&B as well. It’s really less about the actual sound than the general feel of the song. It’s an energy that suggests a time of change, chilly outdoors and cozy indoors.  It’s a little hard to define, but you know it when you hear it, and you’ll hear it in these songs.

Mitski: Working For the Knife

War on Drugs: I Don’t Live Here Anymore

John Mark McMillan: Re-Enchanted World

Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen: Like I Used To

Coin: Chapstick

For King and Country: Relate

boylife: Hey

Noah Gundersen (Featuring Phoebe Bridgers): Atlantis

Big Red Machine (Featuring Fleet Foxes and Anaïs Mitchell): Phoenix

Brandi Carlile: Right on Time
