The Billboard Hot 100 has never exactly been worship music’s natural habitat. This week, Elevation Worship and Chandler Moore finally got in.
“God I’m Just Grateful,” Elevation Worship’s collaboration with Moore, debuts at No. 91 on the chart dated Sept. 19. It’s the first Hot 100 appearance for either of them.
For Elevation, the omission was getting a little strange. Billboard named the group its Top Christian Artist of 2024, and “Praise” spent more than 25 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs. It still never reached the Hot 100, eventually peaking at No. 5 on the Bubbling Under chart.
“God I’m Just Grateful” managed to make the jump. The song is currently No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs, where it has spent four straight weeks, and now it’s crossed onto Billboard’s all-genre ranking of the biggest songs in the country.
Here’s the song:
Historically, that crossover has been rare. When Billboard looked at the trend in May 2025, it found only 11 Christian songs since 2013 that had reached the Hot 100 after excluding holiday records and rap crossovers. Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans” was the standout worship-band example. Brandon Lake and Forrest Frank both broke through in 2025 as Christian music started showing up on the chart more often.
Elevation Worship can now add its name to that history.
The song itself isn’t exactly coy about its subject: It’s called “God I’m Just Grateful,” and gratitude is pretty much the entire assignment. For Moore, it also arrives during a particularly personal stretch.
He left Maverick City Music last October after years as one of the collective’s defining voices. Then, earlier this month, he posted a clip of a new song about checking himself into rehab in November 2023, where he spent 40 days in treatment.
Now he has another career first.
