Judah & the Lion is back with a brand new single and a new album announcement. Revival is out June 10, and lead single “scream!” is here now to give you a taste of what we can expect from the pop rock duo.
“Sometimes the best way to deal with the craziness of the world is to scream into a pillow,” lead songwriter Judah Akers wrote in a statement about the single. “During the pandemic I was feeling the weight of all that was happening in the world and my counselor told me I needed to get that stress out. He suggested screaming as loud as I could into a pillow. Felt a bit insane, but it did help. When we wrote this song, we wanted to give you permission to do the same!”
Akers sat down with RELEVANT for a conversation about the band’s pandemic shift, and the band has been exercising the discipline of hope. “It’s not false hope or the imagination that life is perfect,” he said. “No, life is really difficult! But controlling thought patterns and choosing to see the beauty in life and in one another …that’s what I want to be like.”
