Hillsong Young & Free teamed up with Chicago artist and producer Peter CottonTale for a fresh spin on “As I Am,” the standout track from 2020’s All of My Best Friends. It’s a terrific collaboration and the music video that goes along with it captures the song’s themes of God’s unconditional acceptance of all people, no matter who they are.
In our Fall Issue, Hillsong Young & Free opened up about their journey through pandemic season. “We really felt like God’s hand was over that period of time because so many songs started pouring out of us, especially the young people coming through,” said Karina Savage. “This fresh sound started developing, and it got to the point where we really felt like God had placed something in our hands.”
