Florence + the Machine Announces New Album With “My Love” Music Video

Florence + the Machine have announced their fifth album Dance Fever will drop this spring, and as a fun teaser, today the band released the “My Love” music video.
Lead singer Florence Welch said the album was recorded during the pandemic in anticipation of the world’s reopening, and that the album contains the things she missed most in the midst of the lockdown — clubs, dancing at festivals, the whirl of movement and togetherness — and the hope of reunions to come.
You can see it for yourself above, but the new music video features dozens of dancers twirling around Welch as she sings and dances alongside them, trying to figure out where she belongs in this world. It’s a whirlwind combination of upbeat music with especially poignant lyrics — something Florence + the Machine have perfected over the years.
The band also recently dropped “King” and “Heaven is Here,” the latter of which features two dancers who are “currently sheltering” from the attacks on Ukraine.
Dance Fever was produced by Florence, Jack Antonoff of The Bleachers and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals. The album will drop May 13.
