Chance the Rapper appears to have something in the works, though it’s not clear what. He took to social media to drop 40 seconds of a brand new song that appears to be called “The Heart and the Tongue” and it’s a return to form for the Chicago rapper, who rose to fame on the strength of a series of viral mixtapes culminating in 2016’s instant-classic Coloring Book. The 40 seconds we’ve got of this track wouldn’t sound out of place on Coloring Book, which returns to one of Chance’s favorite themes: turning to God in times of temptation.

“When can I drop the whole thing.” he later asked on Twitter. Whenever you want, Chance! We’re ready. We don’t know anything else about this track right now — or whether this means there’s another album on the way — but count on us to keep our eyes on this one.
