Arcade Fire is on the move. You can hear it in the air. You can feel it in the earth. They played a secret show in Montreal, apparently with some brand-new tunes. There are rumors that they’ve been working on one of their famously grandiose music videos. There are even a handful of live shows on the books.
Yes, it seems like we’re about to finally get the long-awaited followup to Reflektor, and the campaign might just kick into high gear this week. Vancouver radio station 102.7 The Peak seems to have some insider knowledge about a brand-new single landing later this week, writing, “Hold onto your bobble heads, @arcadefire have promised us a new tune on Friday!” in a tweet that was quickly deleted.
So, was the tweet deleted because it was wrong or because Arcade Fire asked them not to spoil the surprise? No way to know for sure yet, but something seems to happening with the band. Stay tuned.
