For a brief moment, Jelly Roll and Brooks & Dunn turned Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena into a church service with a rousing performance of “Believe” at the 2024 Country Music Association Awards.
The trio took the stage in front of a full choir and orchestra to perform their version of the track, which appears on Brooks & Dunn’s latest album, Reboot II. Throughout the performance, the camera showed the musicians’ peers in the audience raising their hands and wiping away tears as they sang along.
As the song came to a close, Jelly Roll pointed up at the sky and said, “I love you, Lord.”
