Judah Smith Will be on Lana Del Rey’s New Album

Churchome pastor Judah Smith will have a feature on Lana Del Rey’s upcoming album and we’re trying to remain calm.

Today, Rey announced her ninth studio album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which drops March 10, will have some big features—including appearances from Father John Misty, Bleachers, Jon Batiste, Tommy Genesis and SYML. But the one we’re still wrapping our heads around is the feature from Rey’s pastor.

Rey shared a message to her fans, including thank you to her collaborators. She thanked “Judah and Chelsea Smith for giving me good guidance even when they don’t know they’re giving guidance and for letting me record a part of his sermon for this record.”

According to some Internet sleuthing, Rey has been spotted at Churchome for the last several years, but she’s remained fairly tight-lipped about her faith. She’s shared that she was raised Catholic and has been seen wearing a cross around her neck. And back in 2011, she opened up with The Quietus about her religious view.

“My understanding of God has come from my own personal experiences,” she said. “Because I was in trouble so many times in New York that if you were me, you would believe in God, too.”

This also isn’t Smith’s first collab with one of his famous congregants. Back in 2021, Smith appeared on several tracks of Justin Bieber’s Freedom EP, and joined Chandler Moore and Bieber on stage for a live performance of “Where Do I Fit In?
