Grammy Award-winning singer Lauren Daigle has released “Thank God I Do,” the first single off her upcoming self-titled album.
On Instagram, the singer-songwriter shared that Lauren Daigle would be released in two parts. The first 10 songs will drop on May 12, and the other 10 will be released later this year.
“Thank God I Do” is the first release from Daigle since she joined Atlantic Records last month. When the new partnership was announced, Daigle shared she was “thankful and exhilarated” to work with Atlantic.
“I have so much respect for the artists they represent,” Daigle said. “I grew up routinely listening to Aretha Franklin, Matchbox Twenty and Paramore, was always amazed at the vocal ability of Sia, found myself lost in the joy and curiosity of Coldplay, while diving into the lyrics of Ed Sheeran. To be amongst people I’ve been so deeply inspired by, I must simply smile.”
