Mumford & Sons has just released a brand new song from their upcoming album Delta, and it almost sounds … worshipful?
It’s hard to know exactly what inspired “Guiding Light,” but like some of their past songs, the lyrics seem to have a lot of faith references. At one point, Marcus Mumford sings, “Well I’m still in awe of you / Discover some new truth / That was always wrapped around you.” In the chorus, he sings, “‘Cause even when there is no star in sight / You’ll always be my only guiding light.”
The new album is set to drop in November.
