Soccer Mommy Announces New Album, Releases New Song “Shotgun”

Indie rock artist Soccer Mommy at long last has returned to our lives with the announcement of her new album, Sometimes, Forever.
In a statement, Soccer Mommy, whose real name is Sophie Allison, explained that the album was inspired by the idea that good and bad emotions are often cyclical and hold tension at the same time: desire and apathy, ecstasy and misery, good and evil, self-control and wildness.
“I didn’t want to make something super depressing without any sense of magic,” Allison explained. “Sorrow and emptiness will pass, but they will always come back around — as will joy. At some point you’re forced to say, I’ll just have to take both.”
The first peek into the magically insightful album is “Shotgun,” which Allison dropped alongside a vibey music video. The song explores the ups and downs of losing yourself in love, pulling tension between the happy moments and the difficulties in any relationship. Fir warning, the chorus will stick around in your head all day.
With the first taste of Sometimes, Forever, we can’t wait for the rest of the album to drop on June 24.
