Popularity isn’t always the same as impact. Some songs quietly change lives without ever cracking a playlist algorithm, but if we’re talking sheer reach — how many people have actually played a worship song in the 2020s — then numbers don’t lie.
We crunched the Spotify stream data, sorted the chart-toppers, and landed on the most-played worship songs released this decade.
It’s worth noting what this list isn’t. It’s not a ranking of the most theologically deep or musically innovative songs. This isn’t a vibe check for your church setlist. It’s simply the data: worship songs, released after 2020, with the most streams.
What’s fascinating about the list, though, is what it reveals about the state of worship music right now. Gone are the days of the solo worship star. The 2020s have been the decade of collectives, live recordings and collaborative anthems. Seven of the 10 songs here are either from a worship collective or feature multiple artists — and that lines up with a trend we explored in our recent piece, “Inside Worship’s New Power Structure: How the Industry Has Quietly Shifted in 2025.”
It’s not just about who’s on stage anymore. It’s about who shows up together.
Here are the top 10 worship songs of the decade (so far), ranked by total streams — with each one captured in a single, unforgettable lyric.
