Arcade Fire is always good for some creative visuals, but their wacky video for “Chemistry,” off Everything Now, might be a new look.
The video uses animation from the team behind Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty to put shark heads on a bunch of partygoers, and a dog and cat head on a pair of star-crossed lovers. It’s funny but also a little disturbing. It raises a bunch of strange and uncomfortable anatomical questions, too.
Oh, and then toward the end everyone dives into a huge brawl and the dog has to fight all the sharks. There’s really no way to talk about this video.
At least the song’s good.
