What Would a Taylor Swift and Drake Collab Even Sound Like?

Over the weekend, The U.S. Sun dropped news that back in 2017, Taylor Swift and Drake teamed up to create a diss track about their “enemies” Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Of course, the track wasn’t released, but don’t fret! Word on the street is that Swift will drop the collab on her upcoming re-recording of reputation (Taylor’s Version).

The news obviously sent the Internet into a spiral because a) there’s an unreleased collaboration just sitting on someone’s desktop and b) there’s a song about Drake and Swift’s “foes” that was left on the cutting room floor. According to The Sun, the song “didn’t make the cut because it was deemed to be too direct about their foes at the time, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.”

Too direct? This coming from the woman who wrote a brutal 10-minute song about a failed three-month-long relationship and the man who released Take Care?

What could possibly be on that track? And more importantly, what in the world does a Swift and Drake track sound like?

The two are both fairly experimental with their music. Swift has ventured from country to pop to rock to folk and back again, while Drake has dabbled in R&B, hip-hop, pop and house music. At their core, however, the artists are brutally honest. They rarely pull punches when speaking about ex-lovers, ex-friends, ex-business partners, so we can only imagine they’ll take things to a new level when it comes to West and Kardashian.

While there isn’t much of an intersection here sonically, but if there’s two artists who can find a way to come together, it’s these hit makers right here.
