Later this month, Saturday Night Live returns for its 50th season, and it’s kicking the season off with some heavy-hitting hosts.
Hacks star Jean Smart, fresh off her Emmy win, will host the season premiere on Sept. 28 with musical guest Jelly Roll.
In the second week, our favorite George Washington impersonator is back. Nate Bargatze will host the Oct. 5 episode alongside Coldplay. Bargatze is having a historic year, becoming the top-earning comedian in the world and announcing his holiday primetime variety special on CBS.
On Oct. 12, to celebrate the actual 50th anniversary of the show, Ariana Grande will host with musical guest Stevie Nicks.
The fourth week will feature Michael Keaton and Billie Eilish, each returning for their fourth time, on Oct. 19.
And last but certainly not least, John Mulaney is returning to 30 Rock to host alongside first-time performer Chappell Roan on Nov. 2.
In all, it looks like a solid way to usher in a notable anniversary for the show.
