
As we’ve already discussed, NBC is getting rid of Community, Parks & Rec and Parenthood, because NBC’s great curse is that it kills everything it loves. And as televised productions of live musicals starts to become a real thing, NBC is planning on being a part of the craze. In addition to last year’s underwhelming The Sound of Music and this year’s very necessary Peter Pan remake, this year will bring all 76 of Harold Hill’s big trombones back to television. Yes, the famed 1957 musical about a little Iowa town conned into high school marching band, The Music Man, is NBC bound. No cast has been announced yet, but if NBC is looking for someone with some experience playing a wily, duplicitous swindler, we can think of at least
