The Baudelaire orphans have survived malevolent theatre troupes, giant reptiles, hurricanes and murderous saw mills, but now, they have to survive season two of their Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events, which, in a new trailer released today, promises to be even worse than season one.
And let’s be clear, we’re not talking quality here. A Series of Unfortunate Events had a confident, jaunty debut season, with loads of charismatic characters and a visual palette that set it apart from most other offerings on television. It’s one of the better book adaptations on the platform and certainly a better adaptation of the Lemony Snicket series than the unfortunate 2004 movie.
The second season of the show will cover books five through nine, with the third season confirmed to be the final run of the series. Season two of Series of Unfortunate Events drops March 30.
