Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a police sitcom starring SNL alum Andy Sandberg and produced by writers from Parks and Recreation, is among five new shows set to air on Fox next season. And, from the description, it sounds like a totally original concept that avoids most known cop-show/buddy-movie stereotypes: It takes place in New York City. Sandberg and his partners play by their own rules and don’t take anything seriously. A new “by-the-book” boss shows up and has little patience for precinct shenanigans … and hilarity ensues! Also among the new sitcom pilots, is a live-action show from Seth MacFarlane called Dads, which will star Giovanni Ribisi and Seth Green as two childhood friends who live with their fathers …
