Last night, New York Giants superstar Odell Beckham Jr. was on the field for a Sunday Night Football match-up with the Dallas Cowboys. This comes just weeks after signing a contract to make him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.

But considering last year ended with a devastating leg injury that required surgery, the comeback wasn’t always a sure thing. Now, Beckham is thanking God for allowing him to get back on the field.

Last week, he made two new posts to Instagram, expressing gratitude for being able to return to the game. In one he wrote, “Mind. Body. Soul. Spirit. God I can’t thank u enough for completely puttin me back together and givin me another opportunity. It’s OUR time,” and in the other, “Lord, I come to you at this time… not to ask you for anything… but just to say Thank You.”

Beckham has recently experienced a sort of spiritual awakening after visiting the Holy Land, where he was baptized in the Jordan River. In the caption for an image capturing the moment, he wrote, “FRESH START….What a time ! #Jerusalem #ImForgiven
