Celebrity gossip isn’t really the purview of this outlet. We cover the intersection of faith and culture, and the comings and goings of the celebs only rarely falls into our crosshairs. Obviously, the celebrity gossip scene is thriving right now, thanks to the dishy cast of Don’t Worry, Darling. And sure, even non-celebrity gossip heads have to admit that the menace in Venice was pretty entertaining. But it’s not really for us, right?
And if that’s your take, then may we point you towards Chris Pine, star of stage and screen. Pine is at an interesting place in the DWD drama. While Miss Flo puts some very public distance between herself and the movie even as director Olivia Wilde and her boyfriend/co-star Harry Styles attempt to salvage a normal press tour from the wreckage of what some are calling “a movie,” Pine remains the odd bird out. But what a beautiful bird he is, majestic and unbothered, soaring over the pettiness and gossip with the sun at his back and the wind in his face. Even definitely not being spit on could only elicit the most bemused of chuckles from Chris Pine, the king of being unbothered.
Again, the Don’t Worry, Darling gossip doesn’t concern us. If you’re not up to speed on all the happenings, feel free to Google your way to a complete breakdown of all that’s gone on so far. But when gossip that does concern your own life knocks at the door, take a page from the book of Chris Pine and simply choose to disassociate from it entirely, letting the bothersome energy wash over you like waves on the sand.
