Claire Lomas, who was paralyzed after a horse riding accident, competed in the London Paralympics with the use of an exoskeleton that gives her full mobility to stand, walk and even use stairs. And now she’s going to be the first person to take an exoskeleton home. While the U.S. Army is interested in the suit’s muscle and speed-enhancing potential, Lomas is mostly interested in having the semblance of a normal life back—although the fact that her normal life now involves a Iron Man-esque suit of armor that enhances her own physical ability definitely adds an element of awesomeness to it …
