It’s not often you hear race and politics mentioned in the church, but Relentless Church in Greenville plans to tackle these issues at large, in a very public way.
The South Carolina church is holding an event on Wednesday, November 14 called “The Bridge—a Conversation on Race, Politics, Culture and the Role of the Church.” The event will include the likes of Pastor John Gray, Levi Lusko and Steven Furtick speaking about race, politics and culture changes taking place in the church today.
Pastor Travis Hayes of Relentless Church told Greenville News politicians and celebrities will be in attendance as well.
“It’s important to tackle issues like race and politics,” Hayes said. “Religion provides a great view into those tough subjects.”
Catch a short clip from Pastor John Gray below, where he describes the origins of his fun, exuberant preaching style:
The event will air for a screening in hundreds of theaters across the country in early 2019.
