Just after wrapping production on the final season of The Middle, Patricia Heaton headed to Uganda to volunteer with World Vision USA.
While still stateside, the ABC star posted a picture requesting that her followers join her in prayer for a Sudanese teenager named Victor. Victor fled his country with his three siblings in 2016, says World Vision. The organization has helped Victor find a foster family after he was separated from his parents, and to get into school in Uganda.
“Send a prayer for Victor below: Patricia Heaton will read them to him IN PERSON this week! Check back for a video,” read the caption under Victor’s picture on the organizations Facebook page. 700 people sent in prayers.
Heaton and her castmate Jen Ray served by cooking for refugees in the Imvepi refugee camp.
