Paul Feig will produce a new Peanuts animated movie. Though the movie Bridesmaids was his biggest box office success, the eclectic filmmaker has also had a role in some of TV’s most acclaimed shows. He’s the creator of Freaks and Geeks and the director of popular episodes of shows including The Office, Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, Mad Men and 30 Rock. Feig told Deadline, “Growing up, Peanuts was my Star Wars. Charles Schulz’s characters influenced everything in my career, especially Freaks And Geeks.” For the new movie Feig and director Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who!) are teaming with Peanuts’ creator Charles Schulz’s son Craig Schulz and grandson Bryan Schulz on the script.
