Webster’s has updated their dictionary, and not even the printed pages of the classic line of books is safe from “Clickbait.” The unfortunate Internet-era term (defined as “something [such as a headline] designed to make reader want to click on a hyperlink especially when the link leads to content of dubious value or interest”) joined web-related “words” including photobomb, emoji, click fraud (?), meme, net neutrality, NSFW and 1,500 other new terms in the latest edition of the dictionaries.
