Rebecca Black—the singer best known for the viral song “Friday”—appeared on the reality show The Four recently, and opened up about the experience of going viral and getting bullied.
When “Friday” became an internet sensation (and punching bag for cyberbullies), Black was just 13 years old (she’s now 20). Before performing for judges including P Diddy, Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, she opened up about the experience of being the butt of internet jokes as a child.
And after garnering massive applause from the audience, the judges voted to have her compete for a spot in the next round of the show.
