You may remember this summer, when author and religious scholar Reza Aslan (who happens to be a Muslim), got into an awkward back-and-forth about faith with a Fox News anchor while promoting his book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.” The exchange, in which Aslan was questioned about his motivations for writing a book about Jesus despite being a noted early Christianity scholar, ultimately led to the work becoming a bestseller. Now, it’s getting the big screen treatment.
