So, the Jungle Island Zoo in Miami has figured out that its orangutans can communicate to its staff using iPads. Nice. Just when we were getting used to being at the top of the food chain. The great apes, famous for being among nature’s smartest and also widely regarded as having a name that is very hard to spell, order food for themselves on a special app designed just for them. So, to recap, human workers at a zoo are now taking orders from orangutans on an app that was designed for them by other human workers. There’s a good movie in here somewhere …
