NBC has released the first trailer for their new emergency room mockumentary series, St. Denis Medical, which premieres this fall.
The sitcom takes place in an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital, where a team of nurses and doctors do their best to manage the day-to-day operations, which seemingly includes unhinged patients, faulty supplies and corporate shenanigans.
Based on the trailer, the show seems to mix Abbott Elementary, ABC’s mockumentary featuring a group of underfunded, understaffed Philadephia teachers trying to make things work when the system (and sassy children) pushes against them, with the campiness of NBC’s hit series Scrubs. And considering It’s Always Sunny writer Eric Ledgin co-created the show with Superstore‘s Justin Spitzer, considered us intrigued.
St. Denis Medical will premiere on NBC and Peacock on Nov. 12.
