The man behind two of TV’s most beloved animated series—The Simpsons and Futurama—is working on a new show for Netflix.
Disenchantment will take place in a fantastical medieval kingdom called Dreamland that’s seen better days, but, will deal with some very real adult themes. He told Deadline, “Ultimately, Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”
Twenty episodes of the series, which features the voice of comedians and actors including Abbi Jacobson and Eric Andre, will start airing on Netflix sometime next year.
