The 12-day, 500-plus episode Simpsons marathon currently running on FXX is working out so well for the cable network, that they’re just going to extend the cartoon binge-watching strategy into their long-term programming strategy. According to Vulture, FXX has announced that following the marathon, “The Simpsons will air: Mondays from 6 p.m.-midnight, Tuesdays from 8 p.m.-midnight, Thursdays from 8 p.m.-midnight, Fridays from 6 p.m.-midnight; and Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m.” It may sound like a risky plan to dedicate such a huge chunk of time to one show, but each of the first six nights of the marathon, FXX—a relatively obscure, newish spin-off channel of FX—became one of the top-five most-watched networks on basic cable …
