In a new interview on “The Past Weekend With Theo Von,” Twitch streamer Sketch opened up about his humble beginnings and how faith in God has changed his life.
Sketch is a streamer, gamer and entertainer from Houston, Texas, whose gone hugely viral over the past few months for his viral clips and live Madden games on Twitch. He’s been embraced by athletes, sports commentators and podcasters, including comedian Theo Von. Sketch spoke with Von about his recent explosion in popularity, and how God has kept him grounded.
“There was a time last year, I had a prayer where I said, ‘I want to be happy, I want to travel and I want to meet people,'” Sketch said. “And God answered me like crazy.”
Von was surprised to hear that and asked, “You were really praying that?”
“Yeah, He humbled me for sure,” Sketch responded. “There’s power in prayer. You have to put your eyes on the Lord, brother.”
“Hey, I’m looking for the Lord,” Von said. “I always am. I’ll say, ‘I’m looking for the Lord,” and then somebody told me, ‘The Lord ain’t lost.'”
