Steve From Blue’s Clues Is Launching a Podcast to Help Millennials Survive Adulthood

Steve Burns is back—but not with a Handy Dandy Notebook. The former Blue’s Clues host is launching Alive, a new podcast that trades in shapes and colors for the quiet panic of figuring out how to be a functioning adult.

The show is Burns’ unlikely next act after his TikTok check-ins went viral late last year.

“It seems that there was an opportunity to just continue the conversation—to simply scale it up for adults, which was a revelation to me,” he told People.

Don’t call him the next Mr. Rogers, though. Burns is quick to shut that down.

“That dude should be on our money. Mad respect for Fred Rogers,” he said. “I’m just a neurotic bald guy who is sitting next to you, a fellow traveler on the struggle bus.”

Each week, Alive will feature conversations with guests ranging from hospice nurses to elected officials to celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis—and, more importantly, you. Burns insists the audience is the “celebrity guest” on every episode: “This is a podcast about you. I am asking your opinion.”

Alive debuts Sept. 17 with two episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday. It will be available on all podcast platforms, with video versions streaming on YouTube.
