Pony-tailed ’90s action hero Steven Seagal was recently invited by the self-proclaimed “Toughest Sheriff in America,” Joe Arpaio, to conduct training for a posse of armed volunteers in Maricopa County, Ariz., in an effort to make Arizona schools safer against gunmen. Inexplicably, some local officials, who are obviously not familiar with Seagal’s movie work, complained that having an aging actor train armed vigilantes in dangerous exercises at public schools was a terrible idea. This, of course, didn’t stop Seagal from aiding the community, as his line between fiction and reality further deteriorates.
