A new study from Barna Research has found that not only is History Channel’s The Bible a force in pop culture (almost 80% of adults have at least heard of the hit miniseries), but it’s actually effective at teaching people Bible stories. From the study:
When asked whether or not THE BIBLE gave them a sense of surprise or new discovery or revealed something they didn’t know before about the Bible, most viewers of the program (69%) said it did. Less active Christians were most likely to find something new or surprising about the Bible that they didn’t know before (78%) compared to non- Christians (67%) and active Christians (60%).
