Earlier this month, AI took things to a new level when users began to create movie trailers using no human design. Some were pretty good, some should have stayed on the cutting room floor.
But every week AI tech gets better, and we have arguably the greatest thing ever: a Lord of the Rings trailer in the style of the one-of-a-kind director Wes Anderson.
The trailer for The Whimsical Fellowship combines Anderson’s signature pastel-hued landscapes and symmetrical compositions with quirky heroes played by a stellar cast: Timotheé Chalamet as Frodo! Bill Murray as Gandolf! Willem Dafoe as Sméagol! Owen Wilson as Sauron!
It’s everything we didn’t know we wanted. If only it was the real deal.
