The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey’s old YouTube account recently resurfaced, and it’s full of classic worship covers.

Sometime in between her stint as Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones and Ellie in The Last of Us, Ramsey created a YouTube channel under the name UnitedHope where she shared inspirational messages and covers of popular worship songs.

From Hillsong’s “Oceans” and Cory Asbury’s “Reckless Love,” to discussing overcoming fear and gracious salvation, Ramsey posted over a hundred videos of faith-filled content.

In an introductory video, Ramsey explains why she kicked off her YouTube channel a few weeks into London’s coronavirus lockdown.

“This is something that God put on my heart,” Ramsey said. “Something that I didn’t know was gonna happen but that God spoke to me about the other day. He filled me up with a spirit and it overflowed from my eyes and I knew that He was calling me to do something which involved creating online platforms and public speaking. Public speaking isn’t something that I thought I was only good at but here we are doing it. And that was kind of as clear as it was.”
She explained that the channel would feature videos of encouragement, testimonies and songs of praise.
“This is going to be sharing the light of Jesus,” she said. “This is all for Him. This isn’t through my strength that I’m doing this. I’m not a Bible scholar, I’m not a pastor, I’m not trained in this area. I’m just a sixteen-year-old girl that’s no more special or chosen than anybody else or loved. I’m just Bella and following what God has asked me to do.”

It wasn’t the first time Ramsey had opened up about her faith. In 2018, she tweeted on World Mental Health Day that her faith in Jesus helped her recover from an eating disorder.

Ramsey, who now identifies as non-binary, hasn’t posted on her channel since London’s lockdown was lifted. And while her account still remains active, earlier this year she told the New York Times her faith is “a lot quieter” these days.
