It’s hard to quibble about a beloved classic like The Hobbit, particularly on the eve of its movie adaptation, but did it ever occur to you that the book seems a little lacking in fast food tie-ins? Oh, there are plenty of adventures and fantastical creatures and thrilling battles, but it does seem like J.R.R. Tolkien could have left a little extra room for marketing ploys. Well, nature abhors a vacuum and Denny’s has stepped up to the plate to make some much-needed improvements to The Hobbit Menu.
Menu items include 11 breakfast, lunch and dinner items such as “Hobbit Hole Breakfast,” “Frodo’s Pot Roast Skillet,” “Gandalf’s Gobble Melt” and the “Build Your Own Hobbit Slam,” which includes limited-time items such as “Shire Sausage.”
Probably best to not think too hard about what a “Gandalf Gobble Melt” might be, but everything else looks delicious. Everyone go grab breakfast at Denny’s. And then grab second breakfast …
