A company called Nice Visions has created these “Ecocapsules,” which utilize onboard solar cells and a wind turbine for electricity. Each capsule even has a shower. The company, which plans on selling the pods in 2016, says that they can be used for a variety of purposes: “With its immense off-grid lifespan, worldwide portability and flexibility, it is suitable for a wide range of applications: from an independent research station or a tourist lodge to an emergency housing or a humanitarian action unit.” Plus, they look totally awesome parked in your driveway …
