These days, almost no movie project could surprise you. If you read that Hollywood was making a movie about that one time Facebook went down for 20 whole minutes, you’d be like, “Makes sense.” So, it’s always nice when you hear about a movie premise that actually makes sense and, such is the case with Los 33, which will tell the tale of the 33 Chilean miners who were stuck underground for 69 days back in 2010. If the stories are true, film execs were already talking about optioning the film before the miners were even rescued, but now Antonio Banderas has signed on to star and it all looks official. But if this movie doesn’t end up being good, don’t worry: there are at least two other movies about the event in the works …
