After months of anticipation, Houston-based rapper Tobe Nwigwe has finally given a first look at his upcoming shoe collaboration with Reebok.
During ComplexCon this past weekend, Nwigwe gifted social media star Keith Lee and his wife, Ronni, the first pair from his Reebok by Chukwu line.
“This is the very first shoe I ever designed with Reebok,” Nwigwe told Lee, who wasted no time lacing up the sneakers.
Reebok by Chukwu, first announced in January, will include a range of men’s, women’s and children’s pieces in Nwigwe’s signature mint color. The collection features a zip-up vest, jacket, pants, skirts and, of course, sneakers.
“I’m honored to partner with a brand like Reebok that represents so many iconic moments in culture and possesses timeless designs that have spanned generations,” Nwigwe said of the multi-year partnership. “I can still vividly remember fighting with one of my best friends in middle school over who could first get their hands on the latest Question drop. I’m excited to bring my point of view and join our worlds together to create something truly special.”
