Recently on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blake Mycoskie, the founder of Toms Shoes, shared a new cause he’s taking on: gun violence.

After the deadly mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California left 13 dead two weeks ago, something sparked in Mycoskie’s brain. He knew he had to do something beyond thoughts and prayers.

Toms will be donating $5 million and mobilizing all social networks to support its new campaign: End Gun Violence Together.

The shoe company has been notorious for its “One for One” program (you buy a pair, they give a pair), which has expanded to providing safe water and eyeglasses to communities in need. The brand has given away over 86 million pairs of shoes with this program.
