Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming adaptation of the book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Directed and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the movie and book tell the true story of William Kamkwamba, a young inventor who uses science and ingenuity to help save his village in Malawi from famine.
Back in 2013, his story created a stir at the South By Southwest film festival, when the documentary William and the Windmill won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature.
Faith plays a major role in the book, and in real life, Kamkwamba attended African Bible College Christian Academy before later attending Dartmouth College.
The movie hits Netflix on March 1.
